Gardens at Palais Het Loo
Palace, again
Hasn't changed much since the last photo.
View of the palace
Typical palace avenue.
Horse-drawn cart
It cost € 1 to ride this cart for a few hundred yards. We walked. It was in the shade.
Tacky statue
The 18th century was not a good time for sculpture.
Fountain
A cute little fountain along a canal
Vista from the colonnade
It did have a certain charm nonetheless
More tackiness
There were lots of planters like this.
Importunate, not proud
The peacocks at Het Loo are persistent beggars. They have no pride at all.
Celestial globe fountain
The counterpart to the terrestrial globe. The sun was in Taurus when it was made (or at least, that's where the artist put it...).
Parterre with globe fountain
There were two globes, one terresstrial (in this photo) and one celestial. Each spurted water as if it had been shot through.
Parterre from atop the colonnade
Very neat and geometrical.
Folk art
Even the Netherlands has chainsaw carvings!
Happy showmaster
