Our tomato bed

Our tomato bed

We probably shouldn't have planted quite so many plants in it. There are five more tomatoes further to the right, plus a couple of self-seeded ones behind the bed next to the house. Bonus: on the left, in the shadow, you can see our mighty SkeeterVac, which so far, after about a month of operation, has slain over a thousand mosquitos, making our yard habitable again. (Especially since the mosquitos around here, unlike those of my native midwest, do not make an annoying hum as they fly up to bite you.)

P.S. Since this photo was taken, three days ago, the tomatoes have grown prodigiously. I think we will be eating tomatoes 24/7 in August.
